Sing 30 seconds of the same portion of the song for each character.Sing the whole song, but switch to the next character you are auditioning for every 8 lines.Now what happens if you are auditioning for 2+ different characters each with a different song? That means you can either:

Each audition needs to be separate, okay? Even if you are going through the same song and switching through characters as mentioned above, you need to separate the audio files, okay? Also, in the audio files, background music is not required but appreciated.
And if you can help it, don't edit your voice to sound like the character you are auditioning for! This is a sort of voice acting audition, which means you have the ability to change your voice to fit whoever you are acting as.So, good luck! Once auditions start, I will post more information.
